Theatre Royal Winchester is a 5-minute walk from Winchester railway station along City Road to Jewry Street. There are good bus links into the city run by Bluestar and Stagecoach.
Winchester’s Military Museums are within walking distance of the Winchester train station. There is a bus stop close to The Museums.
Open up a world of interactive discovery at Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium. The No. 64 bus running between Winchester and Alresford passes within 300 metres of the Science Centre.
Portsmouth Attractions

Portsmouth Harbour railway station is situated beside Spinnaker Tower with direct connections to London and across the UK. Many local and regional bus services stop at the Hard Interchange.
With a rare breeds farm, the south coast’s largest ornamental glasshouses and 1,000 acres of country park to explore there’s something for everyone at Staunton Farm. Havant Station is 1.6 miles from the park. Buses 21 and 27 stop outside the entrance.
Southampton Attractions
Fancy a fun evening out with the family? Mayflower Theatre is a 5-minute walk from the Southampton City Centre, and Central Station bus stops. The station is a 5-minute walk away when exiting from Platform 1.
Based at the heart of Southampton, SeaCity Museum tells the story of the people of the city, their fascinating lives and historic connections with the Titanic and the sea. The museum is only 5-minute walk from Southampton Central Station. The museum is situated on the main bus routes.

Southampton Central rail station is approximately 1 mile away from the Tudor House & Garden. Regular cross-country and local services to London Victoria, Gatwick and London Waterloo are available.
MAST Mayflower Studios is a multi-art form cultural hub presenting and producing theatre, dance, musicals, music, comedy, circus, cabaret, spoken word, visual arts and family shows. The station is a 10-minute walk from the Studios when exiting from Platform 1. The Studios are a 5-minute walk from the Commercial Road bus stops which all have local services run by First Group and Bluestar.
Discover art and history at Southampton City Art Gallery. Situated on Commercial Road in the heart of the City Centre, on the northern end of the Civic Centre the entrance faces the park. The gallery is only 5-minute walk from Southampton Central Station.
Catching a game at The Ageas Bowl this summer? Hedge End train station is less than 2 miles away, First Bus No.8 service connects the Ageas Bowl with Hedge End train station and Southampton City Centre.
New Forest Attractions

Use The X7 Salisbury-Southampton service to stop at OWER, VINE INN outside Paultons Park which is a 5-10 minute walk along the drive to the Paultons main entrance. During certain Wiltshire School Holidays, some journeys travel directly to the Park’s main entrance. If you’re travelling by train, the nearest station is Southampton Central. From there, the X7 bus can take you directly to Paultons Park, or you could take a local taxi for a direct and speedy route to the park.
Travelling to the Isle of Wight
You can head over to the stunning sunny island from Southampton and Portsmouth with a super easy ferry service and you can get to the ferry services with public transport!
Wightlink’s Portsmouth Harbour Catamaran Terminal is adjacent to the national and local bus interchange for fast, easy connections UK-wide.
Hovertravel provides the fastest Isle of Wight ferry service across the Solent! The world’s longest-running and only commercial hovercraft operator in Europe. The Hoverbus connects with the hovercraft and will make sure you are at the Hovercraft Terminal in time. It couldn’t be easier!
Red Funnel’s Quayconnect shuttle bus operates between Red Funnel terminals and Southampton Central rail station via the city centre. There are bus stops immediately outside the main passenger entrance to both the Vehicle Ferry Terminal 1 and Red Jet Terminal 2.
Attractions on the Isle of Wight
Carisbrooke Castle is easily accessible by public transport! Hop on the Isle of Wight take Southern Vectis 6, 7, 12, 38 and pass nearby to within 1⁄4 mile.
Dinosaur Isle Museum is located on Sandown seafront the museum is a short walk from the town. The No 8 bus from Newport stops outside the museum. Bus numbers 2 and 3 from Ryde bus station stop in the town center.

Sandham Gardens is served by regular buses from most parts of the Island please visit Southern Vectis for further detail.
To get to The Needles Landmark Attraction hop on the number 7 Southern Vectis bus from Newport serves Alum Bay. An open-top Breezer bus also operates up to every 30 minutes between Yarmouth and Alum Bay.
