Based at the heart of Southampton, SeaCity Museum tells the story of the people of the city, their fascinating lives and historic connections with Titanic and the sea.

Visit SeaCity Museum and Southampton to discover how they bring maritime history to life through an interactive experience designed for all ages.

Open 7 days a week, 10am – 5pm including Bank Holidays.

The museum will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Adult: £10

Child 5 and over: £7.50

Child under 5: free

Concessions: over 65’s and students: £8.50

Family (2 adults, 3 children): £31.00

Why should I visit?

    • Southampton’s Titanic Story – This exhibition tells the story of the impact on the city following the Titanic disaster in 1912. Nowhere was the tragedy more felt than in Southampton, where more than 500 households lost a family member.
    • Gateway to the World – Using the city’s unique historic collections this permanent display recounts the stories of people who have departed from or arrived in the port of Southampton over the last 200,000 years.
    • Southampton Stories – focuses on different aspects of the Southampton’s history, showcasing the city’s rich and diverse maritime, local history, archaeology and archive collections.
    • Cafe – The musueum is home to a delightful cafe serving lunches, refreshments and sweet treats

Drive from M3 to Hampshire. Take exit 14 from M3 > Take A33 to A3024 in Southampton > At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Bassett Ave/A33 > Continue to follow A33
Go through 1 roundabout > At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Brunswick Pl/A3024 > Continue to follow A3024 > SeaCity Museum is on your left, on Havelock Road. The Civic Centre Clock Tower is a good reference point as the museum entrance is directly below it.

By train

The museum is only 5 minutes walk from Southampton Central Station.

By bus

The museum is situated on the main bus routes with services provided by all operators which stop on Havelock Road and Commercial Road.
