Travel back in time and visit the Victorian Montagu family home this festive season.
Visit on 7 & 8 December, 14 & 15 December and 21 December – 1 January* to see what the Montagu family members would have been doing during the festive season of 1889.
Soak up the festive atmosphere with Christmas trees in every room of Palace House, with a towering 20ft-tall tree as the impressive centrepiece in the main hall. Sip a warming glass of mulled punch by the welcoming glow of a roaring log fire and gather around the grand piano to join in with carol singing. Visitors can also watch family members, played by costumed actors, as they rehearse Cinderella for the house pantomime.
For more family fun, get creative with festive craft activities and prepare homemade tree decorations, then try Victorian toys and dress up in period-perfect Victorian accessories for the ideal selfie opportunity.
