Hampshire’s Top Attractions is here to help! From play days to the theatre, science shows, museum fun, and trips to the Isle of Wight… there’s an abundance of fun at the attractions this February. Paultons Park opens for 2022 from 19th February!  Book now for a fun-filled half term! Enjoy an amazing variety of things to see and do, including big rides, small rides, play areas, entertainment! See the astonishing collection of exotic birds and animals, all set within 140 acres of beautiful parkland.

Escape into paradise at Marwell Zoo’s Energy for Life: Tropical House! Experience face-to-face encounters with a diversity of wildlife and exotic plants in a tropical climate all as you learn about the flow of energy through life. There are hundreds of exotic and endangered animals to see across 140 acres!

Bring the little ones to Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, find the woodland tree-house and wobbly bridge. A free activity sheet is available to download. Celebrate pancake day early, enjoy a family Bushcraft in the woods and cook your own tasty treats around the campfire!

Enjoy ‘Camouflage Crafts’ and a fun trail at the Army Flying Museum this Half Term. Try your hand at marbling to create a camouflaged airplane, make a miniature ghillie suit and test your word search skills. Crafts run from Monday 21st to Friday 25th February between 10.30am and 1.30pm.

Celebrate 20 Years of Winchester Science Centre with some of its best shows and demos – all with a retro 2002 twist. First up chemical reactions. From 22 January to 13 March join the Science Chefs. Explore the chemistry of snacks with fire-filled demos including an old favourite, the sugar flame thrower.

Don’t miss Play Days at Milestones! From the fairground to the penny arcade and more, there are five different game zones for everyone to enjoy. Test your skill and discover more about games from the past 19 – 27 February.

Families can enjoy LEGO mosaic building fun at Whitchurch Silk Mill this 22nd February! There’ll be official LEGO sets and custom-built creations by master builders and an open build brick area to build in! Grab your tickets at £6 per child and please book in advance!

Get creative at The Mary Rose this half term! This February half term you can make your own Tudor clay tile, complete with decorations! Will you go for a dog paw print or your own design? There’ll be a different drawing activity each day, so there’s something for everyone this February half term! This activity is free with a valid Mary Rose ticket.

Get to grips with gadgets at Beaulieu this February half-term, 19th – 27th February, with the chance to discover incredible devices and amazing inventions as you explore the Beaulieu attraction.

Put on your wellies and splash down to Manor Farm this February half term. With loads of weather & wellie themed activities & crafts, they won’t let the winter weather spoil your fun! If you’re closer to Staunton Farm, why not spend a day feeding the animals?

Head to the theatre

Enjoy an evening out during half term by visiting New Theatre Royal and watching Stage One Youth Theatre’s adaptation of the timeless story, Grease.  The talented youth group that completed a successful run of We Will Rock You is devoted to entertaining you from 24th – 26th February!

MAST Mayflower Studios have a selection of shows to keep little ones entertained this half-term! From Oh No, George! to Twirlywoos. From morning to early evening performances, there are many opportunities to catch a show. 

Visit the D-Day Story and make your own genuine Airfix Model to take home in an exclusive event that’s fun for kids aged 6+ and adults. An opportunity for nostalgia or simply to try out a new hobby. Build your model with a set of paints to make it look amazing at the museum or finish at home!

Enjoy the fresh air this February with fun activities

The Ageas Bowl’s cricketing calendar for this summer was recently released, and throughout February you can snap up a Super Early Bird Vitality Blast Passport, entitling admission to all seven huge Hampshire Hawks T20s landing between the end of May through to the start of July or sign up for priority access to tickets and hospitality.

This half term, keep the little ones creative with craft sessions at Queen Elizabeth Country Park. Decorate your own woodland animal wind chime with everything you need to create one and take it home. Book now for the Monday or Thursday session.

Butser Ancient Farm will be open from the 19th to the 27th February giving the opportunity to step back in time and discover life in the distant past from the Stone Age to the Anglo-Saxon periods. Journey through their timeline of ancient buildings and learn a traditional skill as you warm yourself beside a crackling fire.

Looking for something to do with the kids? Come to Calshot Activities Centre because there’s something for everyone, with a range of experiences to try, such as ringos, aero-trek, and take off – all under one roof and you can enjoy an onsite café for refreshments and relaxation afterward.

Chawton House is celebrating snowdrops in February, with Snowdrop Sundays running throughout the month. Explore the grounds and spot these iconic winter flowers. Join a special snowdrop tour, and pick up a snowdrop-themed kids trail. With dogs welcome too, Snowdrop Sundays promise to be fun for all the family.

The Isle of Wight in February is perfect to explore empty beaches, rolling countryside, and explore winding cycle tracks, heading to a hostelry where a warm welcome awaits. Entertain small ones at Carisbrooke Castle or Osborne with an Explorer Quest. Head to Robin Hill for Spirit Of The Orient!

Get fit for history this half term with English Heritage’s outdoor Half Term Explorer Quests at Osborne and Carisbrooke Castle between 19th – 27th February and track down the fun-filled challenges around the site and get active in the fresh air.
