We’re reducing the prices of our student and senior tickets making a trip to the zoo even better value!

June 26, 2023

Through our conservation work we understand the many health benefits of being able to connect with the nature around us.

We want to extend this to as many people as possible to increase awareness and wellbeing and encourage behaviours that can help nature to thrive on a global scale.

From Monday 3 July students aged 17 and over, with a valid student ID card, and seniors aged 60 plus, will be able to visit the zoo and its animal residents for just £15 when booking online!

Marwell is the perfect day out for older neighbours, friends or relatives who may be feeling isolated, or grandparents who provide childcare for their grandchildren.

Children under the age of three can visit for free making a multigeneration family visit a more affordable day out and we’re certain you’ll make memories to last a lifetime.

Walk through our open aviaries and wallaby area or ride round the park and take in the views from our road train (charges apply).

Marwell offers free disabled parking and free wheelchair hire is available. We also have a mobile hearing loop – please ask for more information at admissions.

A visit to Marwell zoo is a great opportunity to learn about more than 130 animal species, their conservation status and what we’re doing to try to protect them into the future.

We hope to encourage more visits from students in our community who could play a vital role caring for wildlife and the wider environment in years to come.

Studies show that taking a break from studying reduces stress levels. We also know that connecting with nature has amazing mental health benefits. Plus, Café Graze sells great cheesy chips!

Marwell Zoo, owned by conservation charity Marwell Wildlife, covers 140 acres with adventure play areas, cafes and ice cream stops as well as 100s of animals including giraffes, tigers, meerkats, leopards and all three species of zebra.

Meet Santos the sloth in our Energy for Life: Tropical House, gaze at elegant giraffes and enjoy the view over our mixed species Wild Explorers paddock where white rhinoceros, scimitar-horned oryx and zebras roam together.

Prebooking online is recommended for our best prices.  Senior and Student prices will be £17 on the gate. More information about our conservation work, animals and Zoo News be found at www.marwell.org.uk.
