From February 2019, children aged four and under will be able to travel for free on the Watercress Line’s standard service, the heritage railway has announced.
The change in ticket price is part of the Watercress Line’s aim to encourage enthusiasm and love for heritage railway at an early age.
Jason Houlders, General Manager at the Watercress Line, said: “It is always a delight to see young children exploring the Watercress Line and learning more about its wonderful railway story.
“I hope that by making our standard travel free for those aged four and under, we can secure even more ‘little engineers’ for the future.”
