At Milestones Museum of Living History in Basingstoke, there’s plenty to do for all ages throughout the autumn. Events include Cobbles and Cogs: Steampunk Family Weekend (10 – 11 September), Halloween Half Term (22 – 30 October) and a Teddy Trail (15 – 20 November). What’s more, stroll the Milestones Pier, playing on vintage shove pennies and arcade machines as you go, enjoy a refreshment in The Baverstock Arms, or even pick up your ration of sweeties in the 1940s sweet shop! Pay Milestones admission once and visit all year.

Take a tour of The Brickworks Museum this autumn and find out about 125 years of brickmaking in Hampshire. Available 18th September and 5th October – included in admission fees. Or visit on 25th September and 23rd October for their next big Steam Up events!

Head to the Watercress Line this Autumn! Take in the sights and sounds of steam at the three day ‘steam’ packed Autumn Steam Gala. The line will also transform into a place of magic and mischief for Halloween, with lots of spooky activities to keep the kids entertained at Wizard Week.

Immerse yourself in comedy, dance and theatre at the New Theatre Royal this autumn. Gary Delaney, Flo & Joan and Chris McCausland are here to make you laugh, Motionhouse will intrigue and amaze you with their acrobatic dance, Horrible Histories, and Sh!t-Faced Shakespeare are putting a theatrical spin on history, and Sir Geoff Hurst comes to talk about his famed football career.
