Here at Hampshire’s Top Attractions, we are so excited for Christmas and all the festive fun to be had this December! Keep reading to find out the top things to do this Christmas in Hampshire and where to find the best festive events at our attractions.

Head to Paultons Park this festive season and enjoy a magnificent “Celebration of Christmas”, including Santa’s Christmas Wish – A BRAND NEW SHOW FOR 2020! Peppa Pig World will undergo a festive transformation and Peppa and George will be wrapping up in their special winter outfits!

Guests are invited to have breakfast with Santa at the Spinnaker Tower’s Waterfront Café or enjoy a ‘twist on a traditional’ Festive High Tea in The Clouds, with stunning views from 105 metres above Portsmouth harbour. All events must be pre-booked.

Enjoy your festive favourites this year at Milestones Museum! As well as browsing the stalls at their ever-popular Christmas market, you can join Father Christmas for a story and they have exciting events and trails right through until the New Year. Plus you can head to their Nativity scene, where you can see real farm animals.

Visit Father Christmas at the Watercress Line and enjoy some traditional festive fun, including vintage fairground rides, a delightful miniature railway, an adorable petting farm & a Christmas market! Tickets need to be booked in advance.

Take a family trip to Fort Nelson to help the staff find the 12 elves that are causing mayhem and fill in the worksheet as you go! A 12 days of Christmas fun trail is also in place at Fort Nelson for families to explore during December. To book tickets head over to their website!

If you want to give loved ones a top Christmas this year, buy them a Thruxton experience. Nothing beats the thrill of handling an off-road 4×4, or will you choose driving a Ferrari on the UK’s Fastest Race Circuit? Whatever experience they unwrap on Christmas day is sure to be a present they will always remember!

In the depths of winter, hope and magic return to Butser Ancient Farm with their enchanting ‘Holly King – An Ancient Midwinter Celebration’ event (20th and 22nd December). Discover an enchanting trail around the ancient buildings before hearing winter solstice stories in the great roundhouse. 

Ignite your Christmas spark in Palace House, with its stunning decorations, welcoming log fires, and a Christmas tree in each room. See Little Beaulieu decked in festive lights and cheer, and complete a Yuletide family fun trail that will take you on an adventure across the attraction.

Christmas season is near and New Forest Activities brings you another exciting outdoor experience. Join their festive paddle on the Beaulieu River and get to meet Santa! You and your family will surely enjoy the 90-minute guided tour. Children will receive a special gift from Santa, making this Christmas paddle the most memorable for them!

Father Christmas and his magical team of owls will be stopping at the Hawk Conservancy Trust for a special family event this year. The evening includes magical owl flying display, festive story-telling, and a gift for all good girls and boys.

Stay on the island where the wild outdoors blends seamlessly with cosy pubs and restaurants. There’s plenty of entertainment for families including Polar at Robin Hill and all-weather experiences Christmas at Tapnell Farm.

If you are in need of a good laugh, the socially distanced pantomime, Sleeping Beauty at Mayflower Theatre is a riotously funny, one-act celebration of pantomime and promised to be packed full of comedy and laughter.  

Something magical is happening at Tapnell Farm Park this December!  Enjoy their new all-weather Christmas adventure…. in search of Santa’s lost present!  There’s storytelling, interactive puzzles to solve and special friends to meet along the way, plus Santa himself!  (Selected dates 5th – 23 December).  Tickets online only.

There’s something for everyone this Christmas at Theatre Royal Winchester – From their panto-styled show – Four Dames in Search of a Panto to Santa’s Christmas Cracker – an interactive, musical family show, to Christmas with Blake – the Brit Award-winning trio, Five Star Swing’s The Big Band at Christmas and Christmas with The Spitfire Sisters.

Beautiful Christmas decorations will adorn Jane Austen’s House and visitors will be treated to festive audio as they wander through the rooms, including carols, extracts from Jane Austen’s novels and the mince pie recipe she would have known. 

Winchester Science Centre is full of festive family fun. Santa is joining the Inspirers in a brand new live science show that will bring to life the sounds of Christmas like never before. Visitors can also enjoy winter-themed nature activities, two festive Planetarium shows and the exciting new interactive sound and hearing exhibition.

Come and help Santa match the gift labels to the right present at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens. A fun ‘Spotter’ activity for all the family to enjoy – outdoors!

Everyone loves a walk on Boxing Day, so why not add some fun into the mix and get out with the family and enjoy an adventure with Text Quest! Quests will be half price from 25th to 28th December.
