Visit the Family Fun area at Jane Austen’s House! Get creative with Regency letter writing, bonnet designing, miniature self-portraits, dressing up and more! Follow the family trail through the House then try your hand at traditional garden games! 

Running for the week from 30 July, Manor Farm is hosting a wartime week. Step back in time and learn about life during the Second World War. Try out rag rugging, experience a wartime school lesson, learn about food rationing, and have a go at Wartime code breaking.

Visit the Army Flying Museum this summer holidays for weather and work out themed craft activities every weekday (10.30 to 13.30). Mayflower Theatre

Mayflower Theatre has two great family shows in August. The Youth Production is The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.  With a thrilling original rock score, this action-packed mythical adventure is a must for fans of all ages.  Bugsy Malone is another great show for whole family entertainment – with instantly recognisable songs, it’s a joyous uplifting masterclass of musical comedy.

Colourful family musical The Queen’s Knickers at New Theatre Royal Portsmouth in August celebrates the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a wink to childish humour. Plus, you can find our team at Victorious Festival on 27th and 28th August for some panto-themed family fun!

Get set for an action-packed family adventure at Winchester Science Centre. Experience ‘electrifying’ experiments in brand new free live science show, Sparks. Be wowed by two spectacular Planetarium shows. Head outside for some nature discoveries. And don’t forget the immersive hands-on science fun and huge ‘don’t try this at home’ demos.
