Say a fond farewell to The Blues Band

June 7, 2022

After four decades, The Blues Band are bidding a fond farewell to audiences at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 16 June.

A band that has played over 4,000 gigs and released 30 albums and a string of singles are on the road one last time to remind us how durable and thrilling live Blues music can be. No strangers to the pop charts of the 1960s and 70s, they reunited just over 40 years ago – and ignoring the disco and punk trends of the time – to bring Blues to the people

Since then, the group – tutored early on by the likes of John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, Howlin’ Wolf and many more – have packed out halls and stadiums around the world.

So if you’re an aficionado of authentic Blues, played by experienced and seasoned musicians, this will be a memorable opportunity to catch them one final time.

The Blues Band will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 16 June at 7.30pm. Age guidance 16+. For more information or to book tickets visit theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
