Celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with trail activities at Lepe Country Park and Queen Elizabeth Country Park, tuck in for the Big Jubilee Lunch at Royal Victoria Country Park and Queen Elizabeth Country Park, and enjoy a summery Picnic In The Park with a screening of the Jubilee Concert at Staunton Country Park! There will also be a Beacon Lighting Event at Lepe Country Park and Queen Elizabeth Country Park for all to enjoy.
Take part in the Jubilee Tree Trail at Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway this half-term (28th May – 5th June) and discover the royal stories behind some of Exbury’s trees. Find out some fun tree facts and become a tree detective along the way! FREE with gardens admission or Friends of Exbury membership and between 2nd – 5th June, climb aboard Exbury’s Steam Train as they celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and take a journey back to the best of 1950’s Britain.
Take a step back into the 1950s at Whitchurch Silk Mill’s Fifties Fete with live music, games and entertainment. Historic interpreters, Pedlars and Petticoats, will be bringing it all to life performing in character throughout the afternoon and there will be lots more to enjoy besides. There is free entry to this fun community event on Friday 3rd June, 12 – 4pm.
Come along to Itchen Valley Country Park and make a flag to add to a string of bunting being used at the Jubilee Celebrations in Eastleigh on 4th June. Any time between 11.00am and 1.00pm and it’s FREE!
Celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee in style at a real royal residence! Queen Victoria wrote that she ‘could not imagine a prettier spot’ about the Isle of Wight and her home at Osborne, the palatial seaside home of Queen Victoria. From 2nd – 4th June join Tapnell Farm in The Cabin where you can craft your own tiara, crown and flag! You’ll then be ready to join their ‘Paddock Parade’ – Headed up by their new arrival! The Coffee House will be serving extra special treats and you’ll be able to see the new family fun show!
Visit the Royal Exhibition at the National Museum of the Royal Navy at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and the dockyard itself will be decorated over the jubilee weekend, with bunting and picnic tables for visitors to enjoy their own jubilee celebrations on site.
Steamship Shieldhall has special sailings on each of 3rd, 4th & 5th June, with a Titanic-themed sailing on Fri 3rd, a cruise with the Selsea Shantymen on Sat 4th, and an ‘All Things Steam’ sailing on Sun 5th June. Celebrate the Best of British!
Celebrate Jubilee Joy with Army Flying Museum. Lots of Craft activities from 30th May until 3rd June between 10.30am and 1.30pm and younger guests can even get their face painted on 1st June between 10.30am and 1.30pm. Throughout the week there will be the opportunity to have a go at a Queen Elizabeth II themed photo trail around the Museum. Complete the trail to receive a Platinum Jubilee reward sticker.
Join Sir Harold Hillier Gardens from 2nd – 5th June for culture and entertainment with a programme of events, trails and activities in the Gardens for this four-day weekend.
SeaCity Museum has a new Queen’s Jubilee exhibition showcasing Southampton’s Royal connections of the past. ‘Celebrating a Reign’, showcases how Southampton has celebrated coronations and jubilees of both Elizabeth II and previous monarchs. See banners used as decorations in the docks for the 1953 coronation and Southampton’s original City Charter of 1964, granted by the Queen.

Join in on Saturday 4th June for the Calshot Jubilee climbing challenge, to climb the height of Mount Everest (8,848m)! For only £5 per climb (all proceeds go towards The Gurkha Welfare Trust), take part with family and friends to climb the recreational walls or Tetris wall with the Take Off activity. Every ascending climb will be tallied and go towards meeting the challenge!
