Lepe Country Park, with a mile of beach, pine fringed cliffs and historic D-day remains, has stunning views across the Solent from Hurst Castle to Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower.
Lepe is a great day out for people of all ages with the opportunity for children to search for seashore crabs and adults to take a relaxing stroll around the wildlife area through woodlands and meadows with great views over the Dark Water estuary – all set within the stunning New Forest National Park.
In 2018, the Park unveiled a new restaurant; The Lookout. Built on stilts, this fantastic new venue has panoramic views over the Solent and provides a destination for visitors whatever the weather, whether popping in to grab ice-creams for the family or enjoying a coffee next to a roaring fire.
Other recent improvements have been to facilities including car parking and upgraded toilets as well as new installations of play and the completion of a Sensory Cottage Garden created with the Friends of Lepe. All of this and more accompany the Park’s already exciting events and education offer throughout the year, which make for an enjoyable day out to this stunning coastal corner of Hampshire.
