Itchen Valley Country Park

About Itchen Valley Country Park

Situated on the outskirts of Southampton, just off the A27, Itchen Valley Country Park is an ideal destination for a family day out. Its 440 acres of water meadows, grazing pasture, recreational fields and ancient woodland are found either side of the River Itchen.

Why not walk through the woodland, play on the many pieces of play equipment, visit Go Ape or attend one of our many workshops. There is also an off-road cycle trail and a busy program of events throughout the year. After all that exercise you can then settle down for a meal in our Woodland Café (with your dog). There is a themed indoor play area for children aged 6 and under – ideal for those wet days. If your four legged friend loves nothing more than to run through muddy puddles, fear not! You can clean them up in the dog wash located to the side of the Kingfisher Barn toilets.

Park open every day 8am – 6pm (winter) and 8am – 8.30pm (summer).
Visitor centre open 10.00am – 5pm daily April – September, 10.00am – 4.30pm October – March

Free admission (car parking charges apply)
