Royal Armouries, Fort Nelson, Farnham, Hants, UK.Come and hunt for witches and wizards and go on spooky tours of Fort Nelson this October half term.
Children will be challenged to spot the witches and wizards hidden all over this impressive Victorian fort on a free, fun museum trail daily between Saturday 21 October to Sunday 29 October.
They can also join a free spooky tour with Halloween guides, who will recount ghostly stories as they navigate the Fort’s creepy tunnels and hidden nooks.
There will be six tours a day lasting 30 minutes each, which can be booked on arrival. For 6 – 11 year olds tours will take place at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 3pm and for 12 years and older the tours will be at 11.30am, 2pm and 4pm.
Fort Nelson is a historic fort and a great place to explore during October half term with its underground tunnels and secret chambers making it especially atmospheric for the time of year.
Public Engagement Manager, Lizzie Puddick, said: “Come and visit us at Fort Nelson this October half term – it’s a great free day out for all the family and children will enjoy our special Halloween trail and spooky tours.

The Fort is home to the Royal Armouries national collection of artillery. The museum displays over 700 pieces from all parts of the world and spanning 600 years of history.
The site also has spacious outdoors areas and families can enjoy a walk around our ramparts and take in the spectacular views. After adventuring, visitors can take a break in our café and enjoy a range of seasonal spooky treats.

Fort Nelson is open daily in the school holidays 10am – 5pm. Car parking £3 per day.
