Beaulieu is delighted to announce that they are planning to hold both of the Beaulieu autojumbles in 2021. Spring Autojumble will be taking place on 15 – 16 May and the International Autojumble will return on 4 – 5 September 2021. The remainder of the Beaulieu Events calendar will be announced in January 2021.
The Watercress Line have a 2021 packed with special events throughout the year, including Day Out With Thomas, Wizard Weekend, Steam Illuminations and Father Christmas.
2021 will be a bumper year of Motorsport at Thruxton Circuit. The British Touring Car Championship kicks things off in May (8-9) and returns in August (28-29). The British Superbike Championship brings two-wheel racing action in June (4-6). A week later the Thruxton Historic arrives (12-13) offering two days of historic racing action on track and plenty of family-friendly activities off it. At Butser Ancient Farm 2021 will see the completion of their Stone Age house, a construction based on a 5,800-year-old home discovered in Berkshire! They will also complete another Anglo-Saxon Hall and begin a Bronze Age building, bringing the past to life for visitors to explore in this beautiful part of the South Downs National Park.
Exbury Gardens has a number of new garden features being unveiled in 2021: The new River Walk will allow visitors to explore previously-hidden woodland along the Beaulieu River estuary; dozens of blossoming Japanese cherry trees have been planted in a new picnic area thanks to the UK-Japan Sakura Cherry Tree Project; Dragonfly Pond2 learning zone, designed with the help of the UK’s leading dragonfly experts, with floating pontoons and pond dipping equipment.
Coming soon to Milestones Living History Museum, Mr Simpson’s Teddy Bear Museum will have over 260 bears on display. You can also experience the new and unique Milestones Pier, complete with a traditional penny arcade!

New for 2021 at the New Forest Wildlife Park, the sociable Smooth-coated otters will be in residence early 2021 once their enclosure is complete. The Giant Otters have a new purpose-built enclosure in the Animal Glasshouse. Covid permitting they look forward to welcoming you back.

If you are staying at a hotel, renting a cottage or staying on a campsite and have secure overnight storage for bikes then you can choose from a selection of their full range and have the bikes delivered by Electric Van within the National Park. Look out for the ‘Directo’ bike options which will be available from March 2021.
Steamship Shieldhall, the largest working steamship in Britain, has a programme of 28 sailings in 2021, including trips to the Needles; Poole; Cowes Fireworks and the New Forest Coast. Cancelled sailings from 2020 including an anniversary sailing to mark 200 years of steamships in Southampton will also take place.
Jane Austen’s House will launch The Workshop of Her Imagination, an augmented reality (AR) app created by Spark Emerging Technologies Ltd. This fun creative writing game allows the user to explore rooms in Jane Austen’s House in AR and interact with objects in a series of fun, playful challenges. Perform a series of tasks to unlock clues, and write a story as you go along! The AR game will be available as a free app to download to mobile devices.
HMS Invincible: Diving Deep Exhibition at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Since 2017, an exciting underwater excavation of HMS Invincible 1744 has been taken place by the Maritime Archaeology Sea Trust (MAST) in partnership with Bournemouth University. A dedicated team of archaeological divers guided by Dan Pascoe, the site’s licensee, have been working against time in the Solent to reveal the wreck’s secrets in what is the country’s most significant maritime archaeology project since the 1980s. Now, this information and insight has become part of a new exhibition revealing the stories from the sea bed and the ship’s fascinating history.
