During half term, visitors to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard can enjoy a range of family activities including interactive performances and encounters with costumed characters, craft workshops and more. Highlights will be an interactive Pirate School play, taking place daily throughout half term, where kids will be entertained with tales of adventures on the high seas. History buffs can learn about the challenges of commanding HMS Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar from Captain Hardy, while budding astronomers will be able to take part in activities onboard HMS Warrior to find out how sailors used stars and charts to navigate at sea. In addition, visitors to Action Stations during half term will have a chance to learn about the science and technology behind the dockyard’s ships from a virtual reality perspective, while creative types can also join a ship building session at the Victory Gallery.
