Online Creative Writing Workshop - Writing the Landscape

Chawton House

Date: 24th Jul 2021 - 25th Jul 2021
Time: 11am - 12.30pm or 5pm - 6.30pm
Price: Range from £7.50

Landscape is more than just an attractive backdrop for a story; it can have a direct impact on those characters who inhabit it. In this workshop, we’ll consider how a natural environment can play a central role in storytelling, embracing all the senses and influencing events. This could be Jane Austen’s gentle Hampshire countryside, the rugged moors of the Brontë sisters, or Daphne du Maurier’s romantic Cornish coast. If there’s a special landscape you’d like to write about, do join us for this interactive workshop. All writers welcome, including complete beginners! Just bring a notebook and pen. Hosted over Zoom by Claire Thurlow.

Saturday 24th July 11am-12:30pm (BST) or Sunday 25th July 5pm-6:30pm (BST)
