Winchester Science Centre



An inspirational 2-day festival celebrating the night sky. Experts will lead exciting activities, including real-time exploration of the night sky, encouraging children and families to look up and discover the amazing world around us – the Moon, stars, planets and other celestial bodies.
Experience:
- Hands-on space and night sky activities
- Put your space questions to astronomers from the University of Portsmouth
- Live stargazing talks from 6pm (indoor or outdoor depending on visibility)
- Full access to the Science Centre’s 100+ hands on exhibits and creative space – The Invention Studio.
Recommended optional extras:
- Live fun and interactive family shows on the science of the night sky, presented by Dr Jen Gupta, astrophysicist and science communicator at the University of Portsmouth
- Live planetarium shows presented by Winchester Science Centre’s experienced in-house team.
Tickets:
Entry to the drop-in activities, hands-on exhibition area and live stargazing talks is included in General Entry, and free for Annual Pass holders.
Additional tickets are required for the live shows by Dr Jen Gupta (£1 per person, 10% discount for Annual Pass holders) and planetarium shows (from £2.80 per person, 10% discount for Annual Pass holders).
