Mrs Elton's Strawberry Picnic

Join Jane Austen’s House for a very special picnic in celebration of Emma, often considered the perfect English novel.

Enjoy tea and fresh strawberries and cream on the lawn in Jane Austen’s beautiful cottage garden before moving into the House for a unique guided tour, walking in Jane Austen’s footsteps and discovering the rooms where Emma was written. The event will finish with an object-in-focus session, looking at the Museum’s First Edition of Emma up close.
