This D-Day anniversary weekend, come and join The D-Day Story’s curator Andrew Whitmarsh who will be presenting two talks focusing on some of our recent acquisitions and the Overlord Embroidery.

History in stitches: exploring historical events depicted in the Overlord Embroidery

The 83 metre-long Overlord Embroidery is one of the highlights of The D-Day Story. This talk will explore aspects of the history of the D-Day Landings as they are shown in the embroidery.

Talks will last approximately 20 minutes with an opportunity to ask Andrew questions following his presentation.

Talks are free of charge and will be repeated throughout the day.  No need to book. Capacity is limited so please arrive in advance to secure your seat.
