Police officer turned stand-up comedian, Alfie Moore, takes to the stage for Alfie Moore: A Face for Radio at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 02 September.
Before now, Moore spent 30 years doing shift-work in Sheffield steelworks and as a police officer on the beat – where he was punched in the face, leaving him with ‘a face for radio’ (hence the name of his show) and presenting his BBC Radio 4 show, It’s A Fair Cop – during which the audience make policing decisions based on real-life crime scenes.
Now, A Face for Radio tells the true story of the radio host’s plan to transition from the radio show host to TV star – but can it be done or has Father Time decided his time has passed?
Moore is a regular at the Edinburgh Festival and has also supported comedians such as Rhod Gilbert, Sarah Millican, Russell Kane and Milton Jones. He is also a humorous speaker for corporate events.
Alfie Moore: A Face for Radio will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 02 September at 7.30pm. Recommended age: 14+. For more information or to book tickets visit theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
