Family days out to remember

January 5th the new Tap Room at Gilbert White’s House & Gardens will officially be opened by the Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire! Come along to take your first sip of our craft beer! Visiting the Tap Room is the perfect way to finish off a Winter walk in Gilbert’s gardens.

2023 is a super exciting year for Paultons Park as it’s their 40th Anniversary! They are looking forward to celebrating this at the park with an exciting Owl trail which will celebrate the past, present and future of Paultons! Keep your eyes peeled for more news on this coming soon! 

In spring 2023, The Mary Rose, will be opening their brand-new multi-sensory 4D experience ‘Dive the Mary Rose 4D’ (image above). The exciting new experience is included in all valid tickets to The Mary Rose, at no extra cost, which includes annual Ultimate Explorer season tickets for Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

There’s lots happening at the Watercress Line through 2023, from family events like Day Out With Thomas, Wizard Week and Steam Illuminations, to nostalgic events like 30s & 40s Weekend and 50’s & 60’s Weekend, as well as steam galas, dining and real ale evenings. There’s something for everyone!

Get set for a whole year of explosive fun at Winchester Science Centre in 2023. There’s six action-packed seasons, one for every school holiday; Zero Degrees, Boom & Bloom, Mysteries & Mayhem, Fiesta, Science Spooktacular and Science Dino-mite. Experience all the thrills of the Science Centre’s awesome hands-on exhibits, live shows and demos plus exciting extra activities.

Theatre Royal Winchester

As part of a fabulous annual lineup at Theatre Royal Winchester, in April they welcome a Harry Styles tribute. Join intrepid rangers on a quest at Dinosaur Adventure Live in June and you can enter a magical world of myths and legends in Dragons and Mythical Beasts in July.

After a hugely exciting 2022, New Theatre Royal Portsmouth have a brand new programme of events for 2023. It’s a diverse mix including huge names in comedy, incredible music acts, exciting musicals, thrilling dance and fascinating talks. See the full programme here. 

2023 is set to be a big year of cricket at The Ageas Bowl! With international tickets selling out fast, and domestic fixtures just released, waste no time in booking your ticket or hospitality package today and be a part of the action.

Mayflower Theatre has a great selection of shows for children this year. Starting in April with The SpongeBob Musical and the West End smash-hit production of Annie, starring Paul O’Grady. In late May, Winnie the Pooh coming to our stage in late May followed by the first ever UK Tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in August.
