1940’s Christmas experience returns to the Watercress Line!

November 7, 2019

The Watercress Line’s popular Christmas Leave event makes a welcome return on 26-27 December, inviting guests to experience the atmosphere of a 1940’s Christmas on the railway.

You will join civilian and military re-enactors at the Watercress Line’s period stations, where there will also be live 1940s music, an Air Raid Precaution (ARP) display at Alresford, wartime games at Alresford Goods Shed and much more for all the family to enjoy.

Jules Johns, interim marketing manager at the Watercress Line, said: “Every year we’re blown away by the popularity of our Christmas Leave event, it’s a great end to the festive period whether you’re looking for a trip down memory lane, or a chance to make new memories with your family and friends.  We look forward to welcoming everyone to join us for a unique experience featuring music, steam and season merriment.”
