Family Fun for February half-term at Milestones Museum PDF Print E-mail

Milestones Museum, Basingstoke, is set to go creepy crawly crazy this February half-term,

Packed full of fun for all ages, throughout half-term until 20 April, Milestones will be showcasing a special exhibition which delves into the consumption of bugs and mini-beasts.

At breakfast time, when you eat toast and honey, have you ever considered that you are eating bee vomit? As you enjoy baked trout for dinner, have you thought about its diet of insects and their contribution to the flavour? This exhibition is sure to get you thinking!
Eating creepy crawlies
From Monday 18 to Friday 22 February, visitors can get even closer to live creepy crawlies, as Zoolab present special animal handling sessions with Madagascan hissing cockroaches, mega millipedes and other bugs and insects. Drop in workshops, lasting 45 minutes, will be held five times each day between 10.30am and 4.30pm.

While you’re at the museum why not listen in to the latest gossip from the Milestones interpreters? There’s sure to be a ‘Scandal in the Village’ as they discuss the burning issues of the day. Join them for shocking revelations and a showdown in the village school!
